Instead of paying for a decoder to access the digital TV service, people in Tanzania now can watch around 15 local and StarTimes selected channels by renting a decoder. This is another affordable and refundable service which customers can get first and only from StarTimes.
Customers are supposed to pay only 39000/=Tsh for each rental decoder as guarantee deposit to take it back home, after that customers will be responsible to pay 6000/=Tsh as the decoder’ s monthly rental fee in order to get the 15 popular channels each month. This promotion is 1-5 years which will be counted for the first date. Customers should sign the contract which can increase more time depending on agreement to both sides. To join with this service for the first time, customers need to read, understand, and fill in the contract between StarTimes and the customer which followed all rights and regulations according to Tanzania laws. This service is available to the market from not only all StarTimes shops but also StarTimes’ super and sub dealers.
